La Métairie Rouge, an estate of over 41 ha, is situated at about 30 km east of Cahors in the wilder part of the department the Lot, named after the river Lot. At about 7 km from La Métairie Rouge, on the borders of the river Lot, you will find the lovely, artistic village of Saint Cirq Lapopie which is situated app. 80 m above the Lot.
Originally, the estate was an agricultural farm with wood- and farming land dating from ca 1780. On the estate you will find former stables transformed into comfortable gîtes, each with a lot of privacy and with a shared pool at about 50 – 70 M.
As a result of the situation at the top of a hill there is a lovely view from every gîte.
No more stress at la Métairie Rouge. At night the silence is absolute and complete, no traffic, no streetlights, only a breathtaking starry sky. The ideal place to find peace and quiet, also out of season as le Vignoble and le Rosier (two of our gîtes) are excellently heated.
